We’re looking for a Senior Director, Head of Quality for a consumer electronics company (business group). This role will lead a team of 50+ in Asia, reporting to the corporate Head/VP of Quality. Experience of total Quality management (including Quality Engineering, Supplier Quality Management, Customer Quality, Testing) will be required. Ability to conduct frequent business travels (70% of the time) or relocation to any city in Asia.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all the quality assurance activities within a (Consumer Electronics) Business Group and ensure adherence to all objectives for organization and provide training to all teams for Quality Assurance activities and coordinate with business leaders and ensure work according to time frame.
  • Develop quality strategy and plan to make sure in line with corporate quality policy. Set quality priorities and follow up on improvement plans to monitor and achieve quality targets. Monitor quality performance metrics and report to top management committee.
  • Lead and develop quality assurance, quality engineering, & quality control functions, including DQA, MQA, SQA, CQA, SWQA, Testing, QMS; Quality Engineering/Lab, & Quality Control (dotted reporting) at each manufacturing site.
  • Develop supplier quality standards and requirements. Implement assessment, audit, scorecard, and drive quality improvement.
  • Organize internal and external audit of product, process, and customer’s audit. Facilitate corrective actions. Participate in customer quality reviews and management of APQP, Control Plan, DFMEA and PPAP as requested by customers.
  • Lead critical quality improvement projects; apply good quality methodology and statistic tools to drive continuous quality improvement.

Qualifications

  • 15~25 years of working experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Quality Management related functions; preferably from a Consumer Electronics, Electronics Design & Manufacturing, IT, or Semiconductors manufacturing (Display/Panel).
  • 8+ years in managerial/leadership roles, managing and supervising multiple quality teams among Manufacturing Quality Assurance (MQA), Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA), Customer Quality Assurance (CQS), and Software QA & Testing, Quality Management Systems (QMS).
  • Familiar with quality standards and the frequently used quality tools such as DOE, APQP, PPAP, MSA, SPC, FMEA, SPC, 8D, & Six Sigma.
  • Rich experience of handling internal, external and customer quality audit. Ability to coordinate and lead cross-functional teams to solve quality problems and meet customer satisfaction.
  • Track records of developing Quality Assurance team/staff, building the right quality mindset, and promoting quality assurance awareness to the organization.
  • Full proficiency in English and Mandarin Chinese. Ability to conduct frequent international/business travels and flexibility for relocation.
