Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• 3 years of experience with iOS application development
• 3 years of development experience coding in Objective-C or Swift
  
  

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience designing APIs
• Experience in IoT and smart home platforms
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and supporting stakeholders/clients of different levels
• Proficiency in designing, building, and debugging mobile applications and distributed systems

The Google Nest team focuses on hardware, software, and services for the home, ranging from Nest thermostats to Nest smart displays. The Google Nest team develops, designs, and develops new technologies and hardware to make users’ homes more helpful. Our mission is the helpful home: to create a home that cares for the people inside it and the world around it.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with first- and third-party application developers to bring an engaging and inclusive home experience to devices and users.
• Design and align Software Development Kits (SDKs) APIs.
• Build and expand Smart Home Mesh SDK and features, utilizing various underlying connectivity technologies.
• Design and develop Smart Home Mesh solutions to make devices and third-party ecosystem work better together.
