Position

As an engineer at ASM, you’ll have the opportunities to get involved in a wider scope of work compared to our larger competitors. While the workload is challenging, you are given the independence and autonomy to perform at your peak. This work requires thinking “outside of the box” in an innovative manner, so you must have the ability to collaborate with others to deliver creative solutions, work well under pressure and pay great attention to small details.

Software Engineer

You will part of a team which is developing the next generation software for machine control combining the latest design principles, robotics, machine learning, big data, UI design and algorithms. You will be stationed in Taiwan Tainan and closely interacting with the team in Phoenix, USA. Travel to USA for training and team building is required. You must be customer focused with a penchant for quality.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software.
• Manage individual project priorities, deadlines and deliverables.
• Specify specifications of each development and create engineering documents.
• Evaluate designed/developed software with simulator and the actual tool.
• Update and upgrade software and examine operations at customers’ sites.
• Investigate faults, defects and bugs that happened at customers’ sites or
  
  

manufacturing site, and consider fixing and improving the functions.

• Consider specifications that requested from customers, and propose to the customer.
• Consider introducing new engineering or technology to tools and claim for intelligence property.
  
  

Qualifications

• BS or above degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study.
• Software development experience in C / C++ and Visual Studio
• Experience working with two or more from the following: software for machine control, Semiconductor Factory Automation (SEMI SECS/GEM), Equipment Data Acquisition (SEMI EDA / Interface A), Multi-threaded applications, real-time software, device drivers or other interrupt driven software
• Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages including but not limited to: C/C++, C#, Delphi (Pascal)
