Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with C++ or more general purpose programming languages (e.g., C, Python, Java, etc.).
• Experience in the field of software engineering (i.e., working with data structures, algorithms, software design).
  
  

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with concepts in computer architecture and Linux system programming.
• Experience with code coverage and static analysis tools.
• Expertise with audio algorithm implementation/optimization.
• Knowledge of bus protocols (e.g., UART, I2S, I2C).
• Comfortable with tools such as debuggers, logic analyzers, and oscilloscopes.

We work on building the next generation Google Pixel products and Bluetooth Frameworks to contribute them to the Android ecosystem. This job involves Bluetooth software/firmware functionality and creating the good performance and features on Google Pixel series products. We are looking for Software Engineers to help architect new hardware platforms, design cool new features and ship high-volume consumer devices.

The Google Pixel team focuses on designing and delivering the world’s most helpful mobile experience. The team works on shaping the future of Pixel devices and services through some of the most advanced designs, techniques, products, and experiences in consumer electronics. This includes bringing together the best of Google’s artificial intelligence, software, and hardware to build global smartphones and create transformative experiences for users across the world.

Responsibilities

• Work with different Bluetooth chip vendors to integrate Bluetooth features and protocol on Google products.
• Develop, implement, and optimize reliable Bluetooth features and algorithms on target platforms.
• Design automated tuning/testing infrastructure to reduce manual effort.
