• Responsible for new product development projects, which include lab hand casting, up-scaling in production, product characterization, specification drafting and customer feedback tracking.
• Evaluating new raw materials to secure the supply, formulations and laboratory methods in strategic key industries.
• Work with Business Development and Sales to provide technical solutions to customer and evaluate business opportunities.
• Support P&T/QC groups in APAC to improve product quality and production efficiency. Contribute to the definition of technical/asset requirements to achieve required product specifications.
• Capable of managing multiple tasks, working effectively with more than one lab researcher, interfacing with other functions such as manufacturing and research personnel, interfacing directly with customers if needed.
• Lead the research laboratory in specific areas of applications to support the implementation of business strategy.

Value added:

• Independently execute all project related tasks as project lead, including but not limited to: meetings and events management, data analysis & reporting, project plan and scope management to ensure quality results.
• Support business development with sales team in several regions, such as Taiwan, China and Vietnam including Japan.
• Effectively communicate with P&T and QC departments for trial management.
• Design and efficiently provide the synthesis of innovative chemistry to allow the development of technical routes for production.
• In charge product data maintenance/ SAP system works in APAC.

External:Customers.Qualifications:

• Ph D. in Polymer Chemistry, Chemistry or closely related fields.
• Knowledge of respective chemistry, processing, structure property relationship.
• Minimum 2 years working experience in TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane) side is more preferred.
• English and Mandarin: fluent (speaking and writing).
• Ability to analyze, review and summarize data in an effective manner.
• Computer skills (e.g. MS Office and lab-specific software).
• Good technical and interpersonal communication skills.
