This Process Engineer will be responsible for ion implant field overseeing new product introduction, production ramp, yield sustaining and improvement in foundries to support Lumentum’s business needs and demand in Taiwan.Key Responsibilities
  • Manage/maintain CMs/customers to ensure the quality of optoelectronic chip product line.
  • Work closely with R&D team to support new product introduction as well as transition from NPI to high-volume production environment on product line.
  • Perform statistical data analysis and trouble shoot potential root causes for yield issue/excursion in foundries.
  • Support daily production like solving issues in real-time, as well as becoming the first-line defend in leading the analysis of failures in fab production line.
  • Work closely with optical sub-assembly and module team to address testing/correlation issues at contract manufacturer and vendors that could be related to chip performance.
Required Qualifications
  • 5 years of experience in ion implantation process of the optoelectronic device design, process integration development and characterization is required.
  • MS degree in electrical engineering, material science, physics, or other relevant major. PhD degree is highly preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong program management skill.
  • Strong communication skills (both English/Mandarin); able to host effective meetings and facilitating actions and resolving conflicts.
  • Hands-on experience with process and characterization of optoelectronic device.
  • Experience with semiconductor fab process (frontend and backend).
  • Strong statistical data analysis skills (JMP or Minitab etc.).
  • Familiarity with semiconductor wafer fab operations (Manufacturing Execution System, process & quality control, change management etc.) in a high-volume manufacturing environment is a plus.
  • Strong ability to drive actions and solutions through cross-functional teams.
