• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience in coding with a general purpose programming language (e.g., C/C++).
• Experience with Wi-Fi driver, firmware, or framework development.
  
  

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience working with hardware designers/reading schematics.
• Experience with application software development.
• Experience with Unix/Linux environments and the development of Linux device drivers.
• Experience with ARM, MCU, and/or other low-power SoC architectures.
• Experience in Wi-Fi areas, IEEE802.11 protocol.
• Excellent problem-solving, investigative, and troubleshooting skills.
  
  

About The Job

In this role, you will work on the software stack for Android devices. You will help architect, develop, test, and deploy embedded consumer devices.

The Google Pixel team focuses on designing and delivering the world’s most helpful mobile experience. The team works on shaping the future of Pixel devices and services through some of the most advanced designs, techniques, products, and experiences in consumer electronics. This includes bringing together the best of Google’s artificial intelligence, software, and hardware to build global smartphones and create transformative experiences for users across the world.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and support Android Wireless Connectivity features for Pixel devices.
• Develop the next generation of Google System on a Chip (SoC).
• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software/firmware quality.
