Project Engineer

As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for performing testing, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities on site with hands-on skills and communicating with global team for field issue resolution when needed for Motion Business Area in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. Reporting to the Manager-Engineering, you will make technical recommendations in various phases of customer projects to ensure successful delivery of project deliverables on time, within budget and in line with quality and safety guidelines.

Your responsibilities

• Assisting project managers and project lead engineers in technical reviews and discussions with customers, partners, subcontractors and vendors
• Assisting contract managers with claims, customer specifications and safety standards
• Creating and delivering the work plan and budget, as well as risk assessments relevant to your engineering discipline
• Helping customers resolve technical issues both remotely and at customer sites
• Developing your management and communication skills by working with entry-level employees
• Maintaining and enhancing customer satisfaction by providing excellent service at all stages of the project
  
  

Your background

• Experience in industrial environment and application of large motor and generator
• Analytical and critical thinking skill for situation assessing and troubleshoot
• A strong focus on safe work practices and dedication to following all relevant workplace safety guidelines
• A high level of self-motivation, curiosity and desire to learn about new technologies
• A collaborative, solution-focused approach, and strong written and spoken communication skills
• A Bachelor’s degree of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or related field)
• Fluency in Chinese and English both oral and written
