Job description: Production Engineer (GWC)

Location: Hsinchu, Taiwan

Description

• Monitor, analyze and act in response to statistical process control data.
• Ensure learning’ is documented. Ensure that site specific processes, tests, test results, corrective action and new preventative maintenance practices are documented and shared.
• Ensure transferred statistical process control methods for defined inputs and outputs are in place and being utilized by the site MOCVD operations team.
• Drive continuous improvement in a GaN manufacturing operation through documented tests and test results targeting process capability improvements and cost reduction.
• Extract data from multiple databases to provide concise presentations for tool owners and management teams.
• Be an integral part of the site manufacturing team and be a bridge between that team and Company’s off-site Production, Process Development and Quality teams.
• Need to be a self-motivated individual willing to work beyond a standard Monday - Friday schedule when needed. This includes nights and weekends if needed.
  

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

• Fluent in Mandarin and English.
• Able to work side by side with our Taiwanese partners. Must integrate into the overall manufacturing site team and represent Transphorm within that joint team.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills a ’must’
  

4 ) Project Management experience a plus. The new hire will need to work and communicate with remote

interdepartmental teams to ensure a smooth MOCVD operation.

• Experience managing remote worldwide meeting over multiple time zones a plus.
• Well versed in Ouality systems and methods. 8D and associated tools for problem solving a must
• Experience in DMAIC, Six Sigma, and Lean manufacturing in cross-functional teams preferred.
• Capable with the Microsoft suite of programs: Word, Excel, PowerPoint Ability to use saL and JMP also a requirement. Programming skills would be an added benefit.
• GaN MOCVD experience would be preferred
