The Credit Portfolio Specialist is an entry-level position responsible for participating in a variety of portfolio monitoring activities to identify credit migration in coordination with the Risk Management team. The overall objective of this role is to assist in managing Citi’s portfolio exposure to clients and counterparties globally.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the quality of tasks/services provided by applying working knowledge of technical and professional principles and concepts
  • Perform relatively complex assignments for expansive and/or diverse array of products/services under little to no direct supervision
  • Assist with development and maintenance of documentation governing existing processes and procedures, such as approval and model development processes, risk monitoring reports and loan loss reserve processes
  • Interact and coordinate with team and internal units to gain insight into reporting and monitoring
  • Assist with data integrity reviews and take necessary corrective actions
  • Develop comprehensive understanding of how assigned duties contribute to the work of the team/unit and how the units coordinate their efforts and resources to achieve Risk Management goals
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
  • 2-4 years of credit risk relevant experience
  • Demonstrated math, operations management and/or statistic skills
  • Comprehensive understanding of programming languages (SAS and/or SQL is preferred)
  • Microsoft Office tool operation skills (Excel, Word and Power Point)
  • Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Desire to learn, grow and excel
Education:
  • University diploma or above
