Reports to: VP, Enterprise Business Applications & IT Strategic Planning

Job Summary

The Platform Manager of Estimating Applications will collaborate with IT professionals, Estimating teams, and key cross-functional stakeholders to understand STOBG’s enterprise-wide Estimating data, business processes and applications to support their business goals and objectives.

In partnership with Estimating teams, the Platform Manager of Estimating Applications will assess functional business needs and identify, evaluate, and deliver software solutions. This position will play a key role in application software implementation, from requirements to configuration, data alignment and conversion, testing, implementation, system integrations, reporting/analytics, and documentation. Post implementation, this role will have primary responsibility for ongoing application support and maintenance of enterprise Estimating applications, SAAS platforms and Estimating solutions for multiple Business Units.

Responsibilities

The Platform Manager, Estimating Applications will have the following responsibilities:

• Implement/manage STOBG’s Estimating applications and platforms to meet immediate and long-term technical, functional, and business needs in line with enterprise-wide strategic goals and objectives
• Lead the implementation of new Estimating software applications/solutions/functionality and integrations: identification and documentation/mapping of business requirements, application configuration, analyzing and converting data, data integrity and alignment, system security, testing, issue tracking and resolution, documentation and training materials, post-implementation support and maintenance
• Overall responsibility for maintenance and support of all enterprise Estimating software applications and SAAS platforms including system administration and security, data integrity and alignment, configuration, upgrades, patch management, integrations, and system performance
• Management of releases, upgrades, patches, testing, documentation, training materials; includes coordination of business team subject matter experts for testing as well as issue tracking, troubleshooting, resolution, escalation, and overall project management
• Partner with Estimating, Procurement and Operations teams to ensure strong understanding of business processes; identify opportunities for innovation, automation, and enhancements to advance business goals, meet new requirements, and improve the user experience
• Understand Estimating related data and data structures; assist with reporting, data analytics, data extraction
• Software vendor management
  

Qualifications

As Platform Manager, Estimating Applications, you should have the following education, experience, and skills:

• Bachelor’s degree IT/IS, MIS, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
• 5+ years’ experience implementing, managing, supporting Construction Estimating applications (Destini preferred)
• Estimating/Construction Management functional business knowledge and experience
• Experience working with databases and database reporting tools
• Strong technical, troubleshooting, and project management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to express ideas and share knowledge with technical and non-technical teams, including Senior Management and Executives
• Problem-solving, client-focused, innovative team-player who establishes positive working partnerships with internal IT groups and business teams to deliver solutions
