Your Job

Oversee the successful launch of manufacturing strategies aligned with the Molex product development process and achieve business goals. Develop and manage a team of direct reports to meet customer demands and business goals.

Our Team

You will be reporting to Manager, Manufacturing Integration Engineer.

What You Will Do

  • Manage the group of Manufacturing Integration Engineers to support projects form Taiwan Design Center
  • Manage the group’s output to achieve business unit, divisional and company goals
  • Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to ensure project execution & overall collaboration
  • Work closely with MIE management across various sites to align on global goals and initiatives
  • Engage with other Molex locations to collaborate on initiatives and projects
  • Help develop and implement cost-effective manufacturing strategies for new projects to meet customer expectations
  • Facilitate training, coaching and development of team members
  • Identify gaps and find solutions to build capabilities, improve processes and meet customer demands
  • Provide leadership and mentoring to local MIEs & global MIEs as required
Level of guidance:

  • Person in this position independently works with all groups and makes required decisions.
  • Provides required technical guidance and support to MIE group and rest of organization.
  • Only very critical decisions and results are reviewed with supervisor.
Breadth of the Impact:

  • Develops and implements manufacturing strategy and tooling for new products.
  • Works with and impacts all US, Chengdu, Singapore, Dongguan, Guadalajara, CMs.
  • Has an impact on mold Die and Assembly tooling, product engineering, signal integrity, finance, product management, SE, manufacturing operations, purchasing, and quality groups.
As a leader within the global MIE team, contribute to the development of a motivated group of MIE engineers capable of executing projects which lead to positive customer experience.

  • Assist MIE leadership team with setting expectations and execution of best practices of MIE deliverables
  • Identify gaps and facilitate training, coaching and development of MIE team members
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering related fields
  • 7 years of experience in mechanical engineering related field
  • 3 years of supervisory or management experience
  • NPI/ Process Development / Prototyping Experience
  • Strong English written and verbal skills
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills
  • Ability to navigate through uncertainties and adapt to fast changing business environment
What Will Put You Ahead

  • Master’s Degree in Engineering related fields
  • Experience in manufacturing and assembly of precision electromechanical components or in connector/cable/cage assembly processes ranging from manual fixtures to high-speed automation ranging from manual fixtures to high-speed automation
  • Experience with stamping/plating/molding processes
  • Experience in tooling cost estimation, quote preparation, project management
  • Knowledge in accounting and business management principles
  • Six Sigma Certification
  • NX/Teamcenter/Polarian/Plato software experience
  • Familiar with Microsoft 365 software to work in a collaborative environment
