Position Summary

This position is within the APAC Global Technical Support (GTS) group, focusing on LDB product line.

GTS APAC group is responsible for the 2nd line technical support within APAC region - this means phone and email remote support as well as traveling to customer sites and installing new tools or repairing down tools that are under escalation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Remote support via phone, e-mail, Technical Assistance process
  • Onsite support at customer site for new tools installations and down tools recovery
  • Providing feedback on installation, service and documentation with a view to driving process/product improvement
Requirements

/Qualifications
  • Good knowledge of LDB/WDB systems or at least very good knowledge of the SDB systems (Helios)
  • Fluent in English (verbal and written); other language skills are an asset
  • Strong communications skills, both written and verbal
  • Good logical thinking and troubleshooting skills
  • A sound knowledge of the physical sciences
  • Willingness and ability to travel worldwide, expected travel rate is 30 - 50%
  • Commitment to further training and personal development
  • Ability to prioritize and plan and work to deadlines
  • Organized with good house-keeping skills
  • High degree of reliability, flexibility and self-motivation
  • Proven ability to work with cross-functional and cross-cultural teams
Advantageous Experience And Knowledge
  • Hands-on experience of working with and troubleshooting electromechanical instruments
  • Electron optics, High voltage electronics, Ultra High Vacuum (UHV) techniques and technologies
