Job Description

As a key member of ON’s external manufacturing team, you will work cross functionally with technology development, foundries, design, quality assurance, and test. This engineer will need to monitor, identify, contain and solve risks associated with all aspects of the ramping technologies that would impact output, quality and cost. You are ultimately expected to own the operational key performance indexes to lead smooth NPD/NPI. This candidate would be identifying and executing cost savings initiatives through device, process, and test improvement.

• Responsible for managing the front end wafer foundry product yield improvement and for new product development which includes design and device development support.
• Manage foundries to monitor, analyze yield related activities, and drive yield improvement projects for Onsemi business needs.
• Ensure foundry support for all necessary yield engineering and functions. Also communicate with internal supporting teams to leverage resources to support on this role.
• Require the ability to effectively engage with the internal business units as well as the solid capability and knowledge of yield analysis skills, ATE, and wafer process to make the efficient yield enhancement.
• Effectively utilizes common engineering technology and software packages for optimization of process parameters and development activities and timelines to ensure rapid implementation.
• Self-driven, motivated, and excellent in problem solving skill with exceptional analytical and persuasion on directions

Job Qualifications

• Had MS degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Material Science or related area.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience working with OR from fab, foundry. Hands-on yield analysis experience and can drive data driven decisions
• Strong experience in ramping semiconductor technology to mass production quickly and successfully Demonstration of such ability from past achievements would be highly regarded.
• Proficient in data analysis tools like Excel, Datapower, Excensio, JMP, etc.
• Strong probability and statistics background including DOE’s
• Experiences that, if have, would be a plus: HV Process/Product, Image Sensor Process/Product, Device Engineering, Automotive Quality Management
• Efficient in reading and writing English. Fluency in oral English is a plus.
