Minimum qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience coding with a general purpose programming language (e.g., C/C++, Java).
  • Experience with one or more of the following: mobile/wearable device, Linux kernel/device drivers, Android development, Embedded systems.
  • Experience with GNSS stack, drivers, or controllers.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience with the GNSS stack/drivers/controllers, bus protocols such as SPI, UART or location fusion algorithms.
  • Experience with Carrier Lab (e.g., VZW, TMOUS)/PTCRB/GCF AGPS/E911 certification.
  • Experience with GNSS software and hardware development.
  • Knowledge of A-GNSS/E911/Location based service.
  • Knowledge of mainstream GNSS chipset platforms.
  • Excellent GNSS/AGNSS problem-solving, investigative, and troubleshooting skills.

About The Job

In this role, you will develop the whole GPS software stack for future smarter android devices, ranging from cutting-edge System on a chip (SoC) bringup all the way up to the platform. You will help architect, develop, test and deploy complex embedded consumer devices. You will take initiative, implement new ideas, and work towards the betterment of the product.

Responsibilities

  • Work with different Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) chip vendors to develop and integrate features and protocols on Pixel phones and wearable devices.
  • Design, implement and optimize Android Location features.
  • Design automated testing infrastructure.
  • Address the GNSS issues from system, stack, driver, firmware, or controller.
