Apple is looking for a collaborative, highly organized professional to serve as an Environment, Health and Safety engineer. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of EHS requirement as well as familiar with international standards and best practices. A demonstrated ability on lead/develop/implement EHS projects/programs with cross functions or organizations is essential.


Key Qualifications

5 or more years experience in the development, implementation and operation of:

Electrical safety and management programs

Equipment or tool safety program and LOTO program

Exposure assessment and hazard control practices

EHS risk assessments

Incident response and investigation procedures

Fire and HPM life safety system management

ISO 45001 or 14001 lead certificate and experiencing with management system

Strong understanding of International Fire, Building Code is a plus
Posses the skills and ability to:

Lead, develop and implement EHS programs/projects

Maintain and monitor EHS permitting and regulatory compliance

Conduct and track workplace compliance inspections and audits

Manage computer based EHS training development and delivery
Additional skills and experience in the following areas are desirable

Reviewing new process and tool installation

Experience with technical, intensive R&D environments

Establishing positive relationships with Taiwan regulatory agencies

Managing incident reports, investigations and tracking

Building relationships with peers, partners and Apple internal customers

Assessing EHS risks in high hazard R&D environments

Manage emergency response program and training ERT


Description

This position will help develop and implement EHS programs to ensure safety, health and environmental protection and compliance are maintained at Apple facilities located in Taiwan Taoyuan or assigned global projects/programs. Major areas of responsibility include: electrical safety, chemical safety, lab safety, equipment safety, contractor safety, emergency response, EHS compliance inspections, and support hazard and operability studies and design review.


Education & Experience

Bachelor degree or higher in electrical, mechanical, chemical, or related field, with experience in microelectronics or display panel R&D settings. Taiwan governmental Level B of occupational safety & health certificate or above is required.
