Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of industry experience in direct to consumer electronics.
  • Experience in ASIC display subsystem architecture and micro-architecture.

Preferred qualifications:
  • PhD in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
  • 8 years of direct display architect industry experience.
  • Experience in performance and power modeling for Display Processing Units (DPU).
  • Experience with C, C++, or Python.
  • Knowledge of ASIC architecture and experience with Digital Serial Interface or DisplayPort interface.
  • Understanding of display processing pipeline architecture for hardware applications.

As a Hardware Engineer, you design and build the systems that are the heart of the world’s largest and most powerful computing infrastructure. You develop from the lowest levels of circuit design to large system design and see those systems all the way through to high volume manufacturing. Your work has the potential to shape the machinery that goes into our cutting-edge data centers affecting millions of Google users.

Responsibilities

  • Define architecture for DPUs.
  • Define the detailed specifications for each display IPs.
  • Produce detailed documents for proposed hardware implementation.
  • Produce detailed trade-off analysis for engineering reviews and product roadmap decisions.
