Job Description

Cigna Taiwan Data Science (DS) team applies Machine Learning (ML) and analytical techniques to turn predictive insights into meaningful actions and business value that drives revenue growth. Using state of the art analytical libraries, tools, and platforms, we leverage different data sources for supporting Cigna’s marketing targeting optimization and customer contact strategies etc.

We are looking to hire a Data Scientist who is well-versed in predictive modeling and optimization, who can communicate with stakeholders with a business oriented mindset, and hands-on experience to conduct exploratory analysis to support decision making.

You will work collaboratively with peers across local and global Data and Analytics team as well as business stakeholders to deliver solutions, while deepening internal capabilities and skillsets. Aligning with our team’s goal, when you clean, dig into, interpret the data, we expect you to question the doubts, connect the dots, and uncover values. This role is to provide insights, influence business strategy, and execute in partnership with stakeholders.

Objectives of this Role

Hands-on predictive analytics for marketing prospect and retention, modeling for campaign effectiveness and product optimization. Communicate findings to relative stakeholders. Keep state of the art of technical knowledge and life insurance development. Comfort working in a dynamic, project-oriented group with several ongoing concurrent tasks.

Daily And Monthly Responsibilities

Work as a data strategist, you will think on notions of making a better or come up with project ideas to build the business strategy, and then you will be a facilitator to help the business action go live and perform as expected. Execute analytical approach to help solve various tasks and make a true impact on company’s revenue. Implement analytical models into production by collaborating with division counterparts and data engineers. Communicate analytic solutions to stakeholders and implement improvements as needed. Analyze data for trends and patterns, and showcase data insights using visualization tools, e.g., Tableau.

Must

Experience

/Knowledge Requirements:

3+ years experience (5+ years preferred) in Data Science using Python/SAS. Advanced hands-on experience in predictive modeling, data mining, and statistical analysis.

Plus

Excellent communication and presentation skills required. Strong English ability.

Personal Competencies Required

Good communication and negotiation skill across multi-functions. Ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines. Enthusiasm and personal drive. Willingness to learn. Attention to detail.

Must

Education and Other Requirements:

Master’s degree or above in computer science, statistics, applied mathematics, or related discipline.

Plus

Good to have some of the following domain knowledge: life insurance, bank, health care, or digital marketing. Experience with visualization tools, e.g., Tableau. Experience working in the AWS environment. Professional ML related certifications, e.g., AWS Data Analytics, AWS Machine Learning, AWS solution architect etc. Publications/patents in ML fields. Good to have cross-functional project experience.
