Job Description

There is a Customer Quality Manager opening in Taiwan, which provides a career opportunity for a qualified individual. The position is located in Hsinchu, TW or Kaohsiung, TW.

The Customer Quality Manager is responsible for the coordination and execution of activities to support our customers located in Taiwan. The successful candidate should have Quality background and will need to have experience in serving Semiconductor customers with strong people skills.
The major responsibilities of the Customer Quality Manager are to:
  • Understand customer expectations on supplier quality by connecting with influential customers. Advocate Voice of Customer within the company.
  • Lead the CQE team to define effective and efficient customer strategies that are consistent with CMC Customer Quality Vision.
  • Lead the team to work with customers and internal cross functional teams to ensure responsive and effective issue resolution following 8D methodology. Organize or lead taskforces to resolve high risk customer issues.
  • Lead the team to understand customer requests, develop strategies and provide customers with timely responses that are aligned with business objectives.
  • Extract and implement key learning from customer engagements and share internally for continuous improvements.
  • Develop and improve CQE Team technical and people skills through deploying effective learning and training programs.
  • Support customers so that they are on schedule for PCN (Process Change Notification).
  • Own all performance-based management including goal setting, coaching, training, developing, and feedback to improve individual performance of direct reports.
Required Qualifications
  • Leadership: Capability to build strong relationships, lead and empower teams and drive activity through a balance of influence, culture and inspiration is required. Solid track record of people leadership with the ability to attract, develop, and retain highly capable team members is a must-have.
  • Business – Business acumen and strong people acumen are desired.
  • Technical – Must have strong problem-solving skills with experience in 8D methodology and statistical data analysis. A solid understanding on statistical process control (SPC), Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) and continuous improvement (CI) is required.
  • Communication – Skills in concise and clear verbal and written communications are required. Effective communication with global cross functional teams as well as customers is essential.
  • Computer – Experienced with Microsoft Windows environment as well as statistical software (SAS, Minitab, JMP, etc.).
  • Language – Fluent in English and Chinese
  • Education – B.S. in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. MS or MBA a plus
  • Travel – Frequent travel within Taiwan is required. Some international travel is expected.
  • Experience – 8 or more years’ Quality experience in chemical manufacturing, wafer fabrication, or semiconductor industries is required. Minimal of 3 or more years of direct people management is required. 3 or more years of customer quality experience is a strong plus.
