Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• 2 years of experience with Auto Exposure (AE) algorithms and tuning for mobile products
• Experience coding in C/C++
• Experience in developing AE algorithms, tuning, image benchmark, and numerical analysis consumer camera, and/or computational photography techniques
  
  

Preferred qualifications:

• Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• 5 years of experience in AE
• Experience in automation, numerical image analysis, tool development, and/or familiarity of image metrics
• Knowledge of coding with Python
• Understanding of machine learning or image/video processing algorithms for consumer photography or mobile applications

Responsibilities

• Evaluate the Auto Exposure (AE) architectural design and algorithms for digital photography, computer insight, or machine intelligence scenarios and commercialize features to set tuning strategy for Google products and features.
• Invent AE algorithm functions suitable with different camera sensors, modules, and features. Set up tuning strategies and required tests for validating image tuning and manage final image quality tuning of Android camera products.
• Work with development teams and stakeholders to efficiently understand, cooperate and set AE strategies to new features like HDR.
• Develop automation structure, simulator, and tool to empower tuning efficiency.
