Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience in Auto White Balance (AWB) tuning for mobile products.
• Experience in developing AWB algorithms, tuning, image benchmark, and numerical analysis consumer camera and/or computational photography techniques.
  
  

Preferred qualifications:

• Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of industry experience in AWB.
• Experience with coding in C, C++/, and/or Python.
• Understanding of machine learning or image/video processing algorithms for consumer photography or mobile applications.

The Google Pixel team focuses on designing and delivering the world’s most helpful mobile experience. The team works on shaping the future of Pixel devices and services through some of the most advanced designs, techniques, products, and experiences in consumer electronics. This includes bringing together the best of Google’s artificial intelligence, software, and hardware to build global smartphones and create transformative experiences for users across the world.

Responsibilities

• Invent AWB algorithm functions suitable with different camera sensors and modules, set up tuning strategies and required tests for validating image tuning, and manage final image quality tuning of Android camera products.
• Evaluate the AWB architectural design and algorithms for digital photography, computer insight, or machine intelligence scenarios and commercialize features to set tuning strategy for Google products and features.
• Work with 3A/internet service provider (ISP) development team and stakeholders to efficiently understand, cooperate, and set AWB tuning strategies to new features.
• Develop automation structure, simulator, and tool to empower tuning efficiency.
