Acer is seeking a User Experience Researcher to join our ADS (Acer Design Studio) under the Industrial Design family. This is the place where Acer incubate lots of new product concepts and business opportunities for Acer’s multiple brands.

【Responsibilities:】

l Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams from discovering user’s unmet needs to concept development.

l Plan and conduct studies across all kinds of product areas, utilizing multiple observation methods such as ethnographic/field research, concept validation, usage evaluation testing (remote and in-person), and any other methods you find impactful to gather user insights.

l Synthesize, and communicate mixed methods data to generate tactical and strategic insights, as well as actionable recommendations which drive product innovation and design improvements for users.

l Design and facilitate collaborative brainstorming workshops involving design thinking methods to connect the insight to impact with related stakeholders.

【Relevant experience:】

l Hands-on experience with qualitative and quantitative research methods—including ethnographic field research, in person or remote usability testing, rapid iterative testing and evaluation, and participatory design.

l Good communication skills with story-telling abilities, including the ability to present complex concepts clearly and persuasively across cross-functionally audiences in order to engage stakeholders from across the organization.

l Willingness to take initiative, run with projects, and speak up when support and guidance is needed.

Partner with Design, Product Management, Business Operations, Marketing and HW/SW Engineering to derive deep insights about our targeted user’s behaviors and needs, and to communicate results and actionable recommendations across the company. You’ll think big about new areas, validate concepts as they are being developed, and evaluate products and services once they’ve rolled out. You’ll be empowered to define, decide, develop, and deliver next-generation product and experiences that will make an impact in the global market.
