As a Data Science Engineer Intern at Micron Smart manufacturing and Artificial Intelligence organization, you will be working on multidisciplinary projects in different areas which use big data in Micron and Suppliers. You will be collaborating with WW Data Science Team to design and build big data tools/models/analytics to unlock business value from data insights. You are required constantly learn new front-tier technology and creatively apply/deliver solutions to Mfg operations to meet BIC goals.

Responsibilities

• Build/Maintain modern and scalable web applications. Creating an intuitive user interface for interactive data visualization to explain insights from data.
• Collaborate with backend developers to define API spec, as well as API’s development and enhancement.
• Work with an international team of data scientists, data engineers, software engineers, process and equipment engineers, process integration engineers, yield enhancement engineers, R&D, etc. in a collaborative manner to develop new data science solutions that improve quality, improve yield, reduce deviations, improve manufacturing cycle time, reduce cost, extend manufacturing capabilities, etc.
• Work on projects and develop solutions that would be of high impact to various areas at all manufacturing fabs
• Understand new requirements and support the feasibility study. Propose the UI prototype and conduct wireframes.
• Adopt the best practice of software engineering (e.g. DevOps, CI/CD, Agile methodology).
• Draw from a broad background of data-mining/AI techniques in mathematics, statistics, information technology, machine learning, data engineering, design of experiments (DOE), visualization, etc. to discover insightful patterns in semiconductor manufacturing data.
• Work closely with IT and Supplier on data management, taking an idea, accessing and preparing necessary data, working with data scientists to create machine learning models, developing it into an application with an intuitive user interface, integrating with any pre-existing systems, demonstrating successful use cases and wins, etc.
• Developing new or enhancing prior data acquisition and ETL pipelines from various sources into the big data ecosystem.
• Working with various scientific data such as equipment sensor data and logs, images and various types of signals, manufacturing process data, etc. to extract meaningful information for analytics
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• Familiar with Javascript/Typescript, Python, C#
• Basic knowledge of UI/UX and prototype designing
• Hands on experience on REST APIs using Express/Flask/.Net
• Ability to extract data from different databases via SQL and other query languages.
• Fluent in English communication
