Primary Responsibilities
  • Lead the Quality function and Quality professionals in APAC, including supporting organizational structures and policies deployed in your region.
  • Lead, motivate, and teach colleagues in the development of a customer focused quality culture that is based on industry-leading product quality, closed-loop customer quality feedback, and internally focused root cause analysis and preventative actions through functional teams and other methods.
  • Establish and maintain a quality talent pipeline and development plans.
  • Drive cultural change from reactive to proactive in your region.
  • Support and drive supplier quality and toller improvement programs as well as processes for evaluating and qualifying new suppliers and tollers.
  • Interact as necessary with key customers and suppliers in response to quality concerns and be the external face of Films and Laminates Quality in APAC.
  • Effectively leverage resources in the business unit to “deep dive” on systemic problems.
  • Effectively develop further and drive the utilization of the quality systems and procedures
  • Personally engage and directly interact in audits and investigations when required.
  • Manage product and service quality crisis situations that arise, including facilitating daily war room type meetings, driving other functional groups accountability and action item completion.
  • Manage the oversight and maintenance of metrics to measure performance against quality objectives. Use the metrics to define and champion an on-going series of continuous improvement actions and initiatives.
  • Support New Product Development by ensuring quality functional deployment in the design and launch processes through assignment of adequate resources to development teams. Personally engage in processes to ensure successful accomplishment of the product vitality objectives.

  • Experienced quality professional
  • Ability to work in a Leadership role in a multifunctional environment and develop strong business acumen
  • Fluent in English - both written and spoken. Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively present to all levels of an organization internally and externally and proactively work and cooperate with other departments and customers
  • Results and proactive solution driven, with strong ability to think critically to overcome potential business hurdles to complete tasks
  • Courageous and bold, outgoing, analytical, disciplined, agile, team oriented
  • Ability to develop and lead initiatives leveraging best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement proactive quality processes
  • Ability to solve complex problems with solid, repeatable processes
  • A systematic thinker that possesses strong communication skills
  • Ability to successfully navigate a matrix organization and to influence and get things done through others without direct authority
  • Capable of interacting with senior leaders throughout the organization and ensure credibility and collaboration between the quality function and the business and operations
  • Comfortable engaging teams through his/her enthusiasm about the business and quality
  • Sound business and technical judgment to advise senior management on the risks and associated benefits with specific projects
  • Strong Influential leadership skills - Able to work and influence collaboratively and cross functionally, and effectively within a diverse population to achieve results.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 25%
