Giving back is in our DNA—our team members across more than 50 sites globally are involved with hundreds of charities that have special meaning to them through our West Without Borders team member-led giving program.Job SummaryThis role closely collaborates with the local HR Manager and other HR teams to provide local HR support for the Taiwan Digital Technology Centers. Areas of responsibility include aspects of onboarding, off boarding, payroll, performance management, benefits, recruitment.Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Organize onboarding activities for new hires in Taiwan locations:
- Main point of contact for new hires during pre-boarding process; ensures pre-employment and new hire process is completed prior to the new hire’s arrival
- Assist in the development of a formal onboarding program that will be executed
- Help facilitate new hire onboarding plans with manager, buddy and new hire, including handling new hire orientation
- Review and approve local new hire and promotion announcements
- Coordinate off-boarding activities for employees leaving West offices in Taiwan:
- Coordinate with required internal teams to properly offboard employees
- Look for ways to streamline and improve the offboarding / termination process
- Support payroll activities including payroll inputs, checking of data and other payroll tasks as needed. Work in close collaborations with the local HR Manager on items involving performance management, culture, engagement, recruitment, leaves, training:
- Run reports to show status of performance objectives and other steps in the performance process. Follow up with the business on overdue items and upcoming items.
- Assist in developing local HR policies, practices or guidelines
- Assist with the handling of leave requests, recruitment activities as-needed, coordination of trainings.
- Work with HR Manager to roll out culture and engagement programs
- Help the establishment and execution of West’s Employee Welfare Committee (EWC).
- Manage the documentation for EWC establishment.
- Audit EWC data and payment for compliance purpose.
- Manage Tax declaration of EWC.
- Support EWC members with fund arrangement.
- Handle local administrative and data compliance requirements:
- Complete data change requests
- Audit employee data for accuracy
- Manage temporary worker/intern list or database
- Finance and legal documentation
- Help set up and support the execution of West’s university relations strategy to include on-going relationship building with university representatives and student organizations to build talent pipelines for entry-level roles.
- Performs other duties as assigned based on business needs.
- Education or Equivalent Experience: Bachelor’s in Business, HR or related field or equivalent experience
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience
- Capacity to handle confidential information and issues in a discrete manner
- Experience and knowledge of multiple HR disciplines
- Willingness to learn local regulations and employment law
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Ability to work in a virtual environment in a global organization
- Skills & Competencies: trustworthy, inclusive, customer orientation, communication, planning and organizing, personal accountability and attention to detail
- Knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Word
- Able to be aware of all relevant SOPs as per Company policy as they are related to the position covered by this Job Description
- Able to comply with the company’s safety and quality policies at all times
- Must be able to travel up to 5% of the time, mainly between the Taiwan locations
