We’re looking for a Global Service Engineer to supercharge our technical support in the service field in 2021 and beyond. You’ll be based at our production headquarters in Taipei, and work closely with our global Bike Doctor team, Quality team, Research & Development (R&D) team, and production suppliers. You’ll build and rework our standard operating procedure (SOP) on service parts and work internally and externally on service issues.

At VanMoof, we like to do things a little differently. We’re rewriting the rulebook when it comes to bikes, and with that comes both eureka moments and a fair share of challenges. As our Global Service Engineer, we’ll expect you to bring a diverse range of technical methodology experience to the table, and your concrete understanding of components will easily be able to tackle anything that comes your way. You’ll oversee the development, implementation, and improvement of our e-bike process quality within an innovative and tight-knit team.

Our ideal candidate has a proactive work ethic – we’ll expect you to take complete ownership of our service engineering support. We’re not only looking for a service engineering expert, but also a dedicated team player with a thirst for innovation to help us succeed in our mission to get the next billion on bikes. What You’ll Do

• You’ll define our service list for new bike models from an engineering perspective.
• You’ll build repair/rework SOP for our service parts (ME/EE).
• You’ll regularly check service repairing issues with our global Bike Doctor teams.
• You’ll collaborate with RD/QC and suppliers for service issue shooting.
• You’ll re-define service parts’ details when they go through an engineering change.
• You’ll work with the supply chain team in Taiwan, but business trips to suppliers will be needed.
  

What You’ll Bring

• You have a bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• You have at least two years of experience in component engineering.
• You have working knowledge of bicycles, scooters, or related industry is a plus.
• You have an understanding of manufacturing methods and procedures.
• You are fluent in written and verbal English.
• You have excellent communication skills, you’re able to learn quickly, and you’re comfortable working solo as well as within a team.
• You currently live in Taiwan.
