Minimum qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Radio Frequency, Electromagnetism, or equivalent practical experience
  • 5 years of experience in RF hardware solutions for consumer electronics
  • 3 years of experience in RF technical program management for consumer electronics with cross-functional teams
  • Experience with wireless communication systems (e.g., 5G NR/LTE/UMTS/GSM/GNSS, 802.11, Bluetooth, UWB, etc.)

Preferred qualifications:
  • PhD in Electrical Engineering, Radio Frequency, Electromagnetism, or equivalent practical experience
  • 3 years of experience in RF and/or antenna architecture design for consumer electronics
  • Experience in defining RFFE block level requirements and RF system level link budget analysis with different wireless communication systems
  • Familiarity with RF/antenna test equipments, regulatory requirements, and carrier specifications
  • Familiarity with wireless/RF hardware development, manufacturing processes, and collaboration with Contract Manufacturers (CM)
  • Ability to be a team player and creative thinker who is and lead the collaboration among technical teams, cross-functional groups, and vendors in accordance with plans

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You’re equally at home explaining your team’s analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.

Using your extensive technical and leadership expertise, you manage projects of various size and scope, identifying future opportunities, improving processes and driving the technical directions of your programs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex Pixel wireless/RF hardware projects from product definition stage until design lock for mass production with cross-functional teams, and provide executive status on RF/Antenna/Desense issues with risk registers.
  • Partner with RF/Antenna/Desense leadership to streamline team effectiveness, and drive wireless execution. Schedule from concept to launch, communicating project status to stakeholders with leadership demonstrated.
  • Lead the new technology introduction (NTI) progress for wireless technologies, and bring together ad-hoc management requests (e.g., regular meeting, budgeting, etc.).
  • Interface with internal teams advocating for wireless team needs and performance, and lead on critical wireless related launch gating issues.
  • Work with hardware component vendors and partners to develop the RF architecture, specification, RF technology road-map and hardware component, may including 5G, LTE, UMTS, CDMA, GSM, WLAN, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC, UW, etc.
