Position Purpose

Trade Strategy Officer will be responsible for trade communication program development and execution. He/she needs to have good understanding of the market and retailers, and leverage the knowledge to build action plans that can drive commercial growth. He/she is expected to have good planning and problem-solving skill as he needs to collaborate with various functions and drive program execution in Trade. He/she must have good coordination skill as he needs to communicate effectively with different stakeholders and facilitate information synchronization. In addition, solid project management skill is needed to ensure deliverables meet business objectives. Other elements of responsibilities are Merchandising, including showcase display strategy and management.

Main Areas of Responsibility

Lead Trade incentive program

Based on company goal and market needs, develop incentive program to foster HQ level collaboration and drive commercial growth. Responsibilities include content design, progress tracking, and result evaluation for future enhancement. It requires well understanding of trade partners and consumers, fast react to market dynamics, flexibility of program planning, and creativity to use various digital and non-digital tools to engage with retailers.

Merchandising Showcase

Responsible for showcase management and display planning to ensure good visibility of our products. Coordinate with internal and lead external parties to develop the needed materials. Ensure quality standards are met and timely deliverables. Other responsibilities are inventory control, transportation management, and routine administration.

Lead Communication project

Responsible for developing communication strategy to increase brand equity and affinity. Strive to think of new and innovative ways to increase the communication effectiveness. Leverage different tools and platforms to maximize exposure, and make sure the messages are powerful and cohesive.

General Trade program support

Assist General Trade program development and execution. Work with internal stakeholders to design relevant and engaging content, collaborate with field team to execute program, and monitor progress during execution phase. It requires good understanding of how GT market operates, good coordination skills to work with various functions, and the ability to think out of box to foster engagement with GT trade partners.

Support line manager with ad-hoc projects. Share team’s administration work such as reporting and documentation.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or above
  • 5+ years relevant experience in FMCG trade marketing or sales functions
  • Have cross-functional collaboration and coordination experience
  • Have experience of leading large-scale projects
  • Have good understanding to trade & retail practice and shopper behavior
  • Good at using excel functions to manage & analyze business data
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin
  • Good writing and presentation skill
  • Solid problem-solving skill, able to think out of box and propose alternatives
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadline
  • Good communication and project management skill
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
