Description

Ring is looking for a Thermal Engineer to join the Devices Team in our Taipei, Taiwan office. The Devices Team is responsible for the development of Ring Video Doorbells, Ring Security Cameras, Ring WiFI extenders, and many other products.

As a Thermal Engineer you will be...

• Evaluate & verify thermal risk in early stage of product design with simulation expertise.
• Co-work with ID & HW teams for optimized thermal solutions for stress condition in product design
• Co-work with ID/ME/HW teams to verify & optimize thermal solutions in NPI stages and keep monitor it till MP
• Co-work with CM or conduct in-house in thermal simulation reports and measurement data.
• With in-house resource, progress correlation of simulation and measurement to improvement correctness of early stage design review.
  

Basic Qualifications

• Master in Heat Transfer & Fluid Mechanics field
• Over 10 years knowledge & experience in thermal solution review, design, and application of material.
• Excellent in operation with Flotherm or Icepack
• Familiar with equipment & tools for thermal measurement setup
• Familiar with Ring-like products
• Basic knowledge in plastic moulding injection, metal parts manufacturing process & cosmetic finish
• Fluent in communication and discussion with English
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated design experience with consumer electronics enclosure materials
• Bachelor and above degree in mechanical engineering or related field
• ProEngineer knowledge, Experience with Matlab or other engineering tools for modeling dynamic systems
