Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a Computer related field or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in Python, Java, or JavaScript/TypeScript programming.
  
  

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience in building developer tools.
• Experience working in UNIX/Linux environments.
• Experience in developing Web apps (either frontend or backend).
• Experience in working with developers/partners on debugging and troubleshooting technical issues.
• Experience in working with SoC partners to bring up devices and assure platform quality.
• Ability to speak and write in English fluently.
  
  

About the jobThe Google Nest team focuses on hardware, software and services offerings for the home, ranging from Nest thermostats to Nest smart displays. The Nest team researches, designs, and develops new technologies and hardware to make users’ homes more helpful. Our mission is the helpful home: to create a home that cares for the people inside it and the world around it.

Responsibilities

• Understand Home Automation developer use-cases and assist partners in building experiences that would realize these requirements.
• Build samples and documentation to support partner integrations with Nest and Google Assistant.
• Manage escalations of technical issues from account managers and front-line support, and partner with Software Engineering teams to resolve bugs and integration challenges.
• Gather and compile partner feedback and come up with a proposal or a solution.
• Travel to meet with current and new clients to assist in the roll-out of new product features and ensure readiness for new releases. Speak at developer events and partner summits.
