Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a computer related field or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in in Java and JavaScript/TypeScript programming.
  
  

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with Go, Python, BLE, TCP/IP.
• Experience in a technical client services environment; experience troubleshooting technical issues for external clients.
• Experience with Android, iOS software development, UNIX/Linux environments and/or cloud technologies such as AppEngine, AWS, Hadoop, etc
• Experience in a technical operations environment and IoT devices in a technical capacity.
• Quick learner on new technologies and SDKs.
  
  

About The Job

The Nest team is revolutionizing the way people interact with their homes. As a Technical Solutions Engineer, you’ll bring high value partner experiences to the ecosystem. We’re opening up the home to a new realm of possibilities, and transforming the way people connect with devices in their home.

Responsibilities

• Understand Home Automation partner use-cases and assisting implementation and build partner experiences that would realize these requirements.
• Build samples and documentation to support partners integrations with Google Assistant.
• Address escalations of technical issues from Technical Solutions Consultants, and partner with the Software Engineering team to resolve bugs/integration problems.
• Occasionally travel to meet with current/new clients to assist in the roll out of new product features and ensure readiness for new releases.
