The Role

Our System Test Engineer requires strong understanding of test programs, good communication, and capability to drive/meet critical business milestones. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in testing, enjoy working both in remote and in a lab environment, drive testing, be proactive, and have a hands-on approach to work assignments.

What you’ll do

  • Drive Ampere SLT production test
  • Perform and Ensure test program correlations between ATE and SLT test results before releasing new test program to OSAT.
  • Responsible to work with production test house to gather yield fall out data.
  • Drive yield improvement by looking at marginal tests and work internally with system or silicon engineering to resolve.
  • Drive SLT test program optimization, test time reduction based on production data, yield trends
  • Ensure system, hardware, and software stability at production test sites.
  • Interact closely with Systems engineers, Software/Hardware developers and silicon engineers to test and evaluate the end-to-end prototype testing. This includes defining testing goals, writing test plans, executing tests, trouble shooting and performing detailed post processing analysis.
  • Gather production data from OSAT, look at re-test rate, site to site yield tracking to look for variation, set yield limits, SBL limits, work team in US/Vietnam improve hardware and software stability based of production data
  • Use production data to determine spare rate needed at OSAT to run production. Work with VDC on hardware debug procedures for OSAT, look at hardware performance and determine maintenance program and spare inventory

What you’ll bring

  • Experience with OSAT or Sub-con management
  • Familiar with manufacturing process and quality control process
  • Familiar with ARM or other type of CPU based server architecture and solid understanding on system level test is a plus
  • Experience with BMC and IPMI
  • Experience with software programming in Python, and JAVA or C/C++
  • Exceptional data collection and data analysis skills
  • Experience with software development and implementation on windows and Linux
  • Experience of system programming and debug is a plus
  • Experience with silicon production is a plus

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years’ experience or Master’s degree with 6+ years’ experience in Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
