Synaptics is looking for a Staff Product Engineer to join our dynamic and growing organization. You will be responsible for supporting new product introduction and the continuous care of mass production sustaining and yield monitoring & improvement during production. You will also be responsible for direct communication with the design team and the management of the ASIC supply chain vendors: wafer foundries and test houses. This position reports to the Senior Manager, Product Engineering.

Responsibilities

Job Duties
  • Perform wafer process and device analysis
  • Responsible for production and foundry management
  • Responsible for MP sustaining and yield improvement
  • Provide FACR/RMA analysis
  • Provide statistical data analysis and the usage of EDA tools
  • Partner with wafer foundry for NPI ramp, production sustaining and continuous yield improvement
  • Drive and deliver cost reduction plan including yield improvement and test time reduction cooperating with testing team

Qualifications

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Material Science or Chemical Engineering or repated field or equivalent
  • 8 years’ experience in developing advanced CMOS process and device
  • Familiar with device characterization, WAT analysis and advanced node wafer processes (5nm to 28nm a plus)
  • Good understanding of semiconductor process and the relationship with testing and failure mechanism
  • Strong data analysis skills including work efficiency in using EDA tools (DataPower/Exensio a plus)
  • Knowledge of specialty process such as MS, RF, NVM, HV, BCD, SOI etc.
  • Good teamwork with cross functional teams including Design, Quality, Testing and Planning
  • Ability to travel internationally up to 10%
