MaxLinear is seeking a Staff Power Platform Engineer to join our Power Platforms team responsible for silicon validation testing, characterization and system level testing. In this role, you will focus on the following
  • Comprehensive validation of all power management ICs including switching regulators, PWM controllers and power stages
  • Creation of silicon DVT test plans and determination of silicon evaluation methodology
  • Completion of validation reports
  • Develop reference platforms and ensure power devices meet system level requirements and specifications
  • Platform design Develop power management reference designs supporting MaxLinear SOCs
  • Collaborate with Power marketing team members to create new product definitions and roadmaps that will secure our market leadership and drive significant revenue growth
  • Creation of datasheets and technical collateral in support of product development
  • Support Field Applications, Sales, and customers in design in of new products
  • Strong technical power management knowledge around SMPS
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Familiar with schematic creation, layout and PCB debugging
  • Experience with Intel and AMD test plans is beneficial
  • Strong organizational, project management, and execution skills and a demonstrated ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Fluent in English with excellent oral and written communications skills
  • BS in Electrical Engineering or related + 6 years of experience, or MS + 3 years of experience, or Ph.D.
