Sr. SW Engineer (Android platform)

Responsibilities

1.Work closely with product management, application software engineers and partners to understand requirements and specify interfaces for new software frameworks and enhance existing frameworks

2.Work on Low Level to implement HW support for various configurations

3.Work with Application team to debug functional, performance and stability issues across the stack

4.Participate in design reviews and code reviews for the platform team

Qualifications

•B.S, M.S. in computer science or a related field

•5+ years of experience in coding in C/C++

•OS concepts (multi-core processing, threads, processes, sockets, etc), algorithms, data structures.

•Experience implementing Linux Drivers

•Experience adding board configuration into bootloader

•Understanding system boot process

•Have worked with SE-Linux, AOSP, Android HAL

•Have worked with wired and wireless interfaces: Ethernet, WiFi, BT, USB etc.

•Good knowledge of revision control and code review tools like git, gerrit

•Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

•Good problem solving and decision-making skills.

•Ability to troubleshoot critical and complex systems.

•Minimal English level – intermediate (would need to communication with team in US)

Preferred Qualifications

•Experience with Android SDK, NDK, JNI and IPC mechanisms

•Experience with Android performance tools and security models

•Experience with power consumption optimization for portable devices
