Our client is a leading company in semiconductor related industry, with growing in the business, they are now recruiting a Sr. Legal Counsel to support their growing business.

Job Description

•Advise on corporate issues, regulatory matters, and other legal issues.

•Prepare, review and negotiate on commercial contracts (e.g.: sales and purchase agreements, vendor agreements, distribution agreements and purchase order terms and conditions).

• Provide advice to stakeholders on compliance with company’s policies to ensure that legal, regulatory and contractual obligations are met.

• Promote corporate governance including identifying and delivering appropriate training to stakeholders.

• Support disputes/ litigation.

•Provide legal support for corporate actions including involvement in M&A, various projects and initiatives.

• Manage relationships with external counsel as directed by the Direct Manager and/ or the General Counsel.

Essential Skills

• JD, LLB or an equivalent law degree from a reputable university/ recognized law school.

•Minimum 6 years of post-qualification experience either with a major law firm and/or in-house position

• Experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of general commercial contracts is essential.

• Excellent written and spoken English and Mandarin essential to communicate with Mandarin-speaking associates and to draft and review Mandarin documentation and contracts.

•Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities and assignments in a time pressured environment.

• Ability to work both independently and in a team essential (as a sole contributor based out of Taiwan) and within a team.
