• Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in managing a team to design and develop display software stacks for Android smartphones.

On this team, you will have the opportunity to develop and build out display experiences. You will manage a team to investigate, prototype, and implement solutions to achieve the best display performance and quality for our consumer hardware.

Whether adding to the core Android experience, forging new markets for digital content, creating immersive and portable versions of our products or managing relationships with a global community of developers, the Mobile team is giving you Google on the go.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of embedded software engineers and plan budget, task, resources, and tools to deliver against a roadmap.
• Work with stakeholders to provide status, iterative releases, and make design decisions throughout development.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring display experiences for the next generation of Google Tensor System of Chip (SoC) powered Pixel devices.
• Drive features such as variable refresh rate, color management and calibration, HDR, image enhancement methods, and more.
• Work closely with US Pixel and Android team members, and related software/hardware teams
