Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience building user-facing applications on Android.
  • Software development experience in Java or Kotlin.
  • Ability to speak and write in English Fluently.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 3 years of experience leading an engineering team, with collaboration with Product Managers and User Experience Designers.
  • Experience working with two or more from the following: web application development, large software systems, mobile application development and security software development.
  • Experience in large scale software development.
  • Knowledge of mobile software architecture and deployment.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with partner teams and across regions.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Product Managers and User Experience Designers/Researchers to implement product features.
  • Design and develop the Wear OS applications for the Pixel Experiences team such as Pocket Watch.
  • Be responsible for setting the technical direction and for planning deliverables and milestone.
  • Make direct technical contributions and provide guidance to team members.
  • Work with teams across the organization to remove blocker and identify opportunities, and interact with leads and stakeholders.
