In this role, you will upgrade software to improve the overall user experience and work on the next generation Chromecast device.

The Google Nest team focuses on hardware, software, and services for the home, ranging from Nest thermostats to Nest smart displays. The Google Nest team develops, designs, and develops new technologies and hardware to make users’ homes more helpful. Our mission is the helpful home: to create a home that cares for the people inside it and the world around it.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Android TV team and System-on-Chip (SoC) vendors to support regular releases, operating system upgrades, and optimization.
• Collaborate with SoC vendors and cross-functional teams on system integration tasks to achieve product solutions.
• Develop, enhance, debug, and maintain operating system and device drivers.
• Collaborate with Hardware teams on board bring-up, power management, and hardware debug.
• Collaborate with contract manufacturing to support diagnostics and operations.
