Join CGD and be part of the adventure!The OpportunityCGD is looking for a Senior Test Engineer to join our growing team. Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, this is an amazing opportunity to join CGD as an early employee in our Taiwan team and contribute to the growth and success of CGD.You will collaborate closely with both internal teams, and with CGD’s global assembly and test partners.This will be a hybrid-based role, with a combination of work at CGD’s office and lab in Taipei, working onsite at test partners in Taiwan, and some remote work. Travel to CGDs headquarters in Cambridge and other international locations is also expected.Main ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Vice President of Operations, you will play a key role in developing and supporting Chip Probe and Final Test of CGD’s ICeGaN products. This will require working closely with both internal CGD teams in the UK, and with our global manufacturing partners. You will have responsibility for development and release of production test hardware and software for new CGD products, and for factory support and sustaining engineering in volume production. This would include ongoing quality, yield and cost improvement, and support of product qualification and reliability testing.RequirementsSkills and ExperienceEssential
  • A bachelor’s degree or above in Electronics, Microelectronics, Semiconductor Physics, Engineering or similar discipline
  • Demonstrable experience within the semiconductor industry, ideally working in a Test Engineering or Product Engineering role from NPI to high volume production
  • Good data analysis skills, with specific experience in CP and FT data analysis
  • Good knowledge of general semiconductor industry process quality control systems and statistical analysis methodology: SPC charts review, Cp, Cpk improvement, etc.
  • Skilled in use of lab equipment for test debug and failure analysis
  • Familiar with Semiconductor Qualification procedure and JEDEC standards
  • An understanding of ISO9001 and ISO14001 Quality and Environmental policies
  • Flexible and able to manage multiple projects in parallel
  • Good communication skills and team player attitude
  • Willing and able to travel worldwide when needed
  • Fluency in Mandarin and English
Desirable
  • Experience of power discrete or power integrated circuit manufacture
  • Familiarity with test equipment capable of testing high-voltage (>600V) and high-current
  • Experience with GaN production and quality and yield improvement
  • Experience with managing IC qualification per JEDEC and AEC standards
  • Knowledge of RMA handling and failure analysis methods
  • Good software skills
