To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add an [Senior Staff Firmware Engineer] located in [TW Taipei Wugu Site].

Senior Staff Firmware Engineer with expertise in power electronics and AUTOSAR to join our growing team and spearhead the firmware development for our next-generation automotive grade power inverter generator, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful integration of firmware with hardware components, meeting automotive standards, and delivering high-quality solutions.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Focus on design, development, and maintenance of firmware for the pure-sine power inverter generator, guaranteeing high performance, reliability, safety, and strict adherence to automotive standards.
  • Architect and implement advanced control algorithms for optimal power inverter conversion and system management.
  • Drive comprehensive testing and validation of the firmware, adhering to AUTOSAR guidelines and ensuring compliance with all relevant automotive standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 26262).
  • Foster seamless integration of firmware with power electronics components by collaborating closely with test and electrical engineers, and application of AUTOSAR principles.
  • Champion continuous improvement of the firmware performance and functionality based on field data, user feedback, power electronics principles, and design best practices.
  • Stay at the forefront of firmware development tools, power electronics technologies, automotive standard evolution, and automotive safety regulations.
  • Provide guidance on AUTOSAR implementation, firmware development best practices, and problem-solving approaches.
  • Actively participate in technical discussions and provide expert advice to the team on complex power electronics and integration challenges.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

  • Bachelor’s degree Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in firmware development for automotive or embedded systems, with extensive experience in AUTOSAR implementation.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and delivering complex firmware projects for high-power electronics applications within the automotive framework.
  • Deep understanding of power electronics principles, control theory, AUTOSAR architecture, automotive software safety standards, and project management methodologies.
  • Strong expertise in C programming language, RTOS, assembly language, and AUTOSAR development tools.
  • Experience with development control system, ex: bitbucket, jira, confluence
  • Experience with automotive communication interface, ex: CAN, LIN
  • Experience with model-based design, hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing, and automotive-specific testing methodologies is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to identify and solve complex technical challenges.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and collaboration skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and prioritize under pressure.
  • Passion for innovation and continuous learning, actively seeking to stay updated with the latest advancements in the field.
