The Opportunity

Silicon Simulation Engineering group develops register level SoC simulator which includes ARM cores and all hardware registers and actions. The purpose of the simulator is helping the firmware development and validation. The simulator could speed up the firmware development before the SoC is ready. And it could help to validate the full paths of firmware by creating conditions, covering corner case and injecting erroring.

Responsibility

• Design and develop SoC model at register level.
• Work with SoC designers and FW engineers to debug, understand and document models.
• Provide technical documentation, descriptions and information to Firmware Development Engineers, Test Engineers and customers.
• Write and maintain software used to automate bench testing.
• Generate professional validation reports of firmware validation.
• Make sure the firmware is full validated and stable on both simulator and SoC
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields and 5-10 years of related professional experience.
• Master’s degree and/or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields with 3-5 years of experience.
• C/C++ is necessary skills. Python is a plus.
• Understand how hardware works, such as ARM core, PCIe, NVMe and NAND.
• Device driver development background is a plus.
• QEMU and SIMICS is a big plus.
