• Experience estimating execution time and power expenditure of unimplemented algorithms.
• Experience profiling applications to identify performance bottlenecks.
• Experience in Android Internals, Sensors, Power Efficiency Measurement and Test, Low Power Computing, Embedded Systems, Machine Learning Optimization, TensorFlow Model Analysis, or Devices and Services.

With your technical expertise you will manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables. You will design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions.

As a Software Engineer, you will work to understand the requirements of health experiences on a hardware timeline in order to drive changes to our SoCs to enable new use-cases. You will help optimize and leverage the specialized hardware in our SoCs to ensure health experiences run quickly and efficiently. You will work with hardware, optimizing applications, and Machine Learning power and performance.

Responsibilities

• Work with app Software teams to optimize power and performance of workloads across SoC compute IPs and influence algorithm developers on compute capabilities. Match compute pieces with the appropriate compute blocks and with appropriate tooling.
• Characterize compute blocks in the system and identify shapes of compute that work well.
• Generate micro benchmarks, sweeps, power/perf characterization for current (silicon) and future (simulation) designs.
• Guide and influence SoC architecture evolution with the goal of improving end-to-end uses cases year after year. Assess architecture changes from software and programming model perspective, and provide feedback and recommendations.
• Improve overall programming models and efficacy of a heterogeneous compute workflow spanning MCU, GPU, TPU, DSP, CPU, Fixed Function IPs.
