Role Summary

The Sales Engineer is responsible to meet or exceed the sales bookings assigned to him by implementing strategies, programs or plans as defined by the Management. He is the primary contact for the customer technical assistance, product support and promotion of general goodwill.

Position Location: Yunlin or Changhua (primary working area in Formosa Mailiao site)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Minimum Bachelor Degree or above in Mechanical or Chemical or Materials Engineering preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in similar capacity, preferably in the Pumps / Seals or Rotating equipment or Petrochemical Process / Power industries.
• Holding certificate of occupational safety and health management personnel will be a plus.
• Familiar with MS Office software and email / web-enable tools.
• Good in English writing and verbal communication.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to interact with all levels of employees in any part of the business.
• Ability to work independently. A self starter capable of working under minimal supervision.
• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Willing to travel frequently (domestically most and overseas within short notice) for business and training
  

Responsibilities & Requirements

• Manage the promotion and sale of all applicable Flowserve products and services thru’ the appropriate channels, either direct or through distribution.
• Work with agent/distributor and customer with the aim of securing orders for Flowserve products and services at the best possible price and under the best possible terms, eg: establish job strategy, influence specification in Flowserve’s favor, promote Flowserve products in advance, prepare quotations and handle technical/commercial clarifications.
• Coordinate with Flowserve business units and other involved overseas sales all aspects of the sales.
• Monitor, motivate and guide agent/distributor to focus on selling Flowserve products.
• Work with application engineers on proposal strategy and entering clean orders to business unit.
• Co-ordinate between agent, customer and Flowserve business unit on all post order matters, ie. Technical, commercial and delivery.
• Report job status, market trends, competitor actions to Flowserve Management as applicable.
• Leadership role responsibility in the coordination of key projects or targeted customers working with application engineers and business units personnel.
• Develop the strategic sales plan and the agent/distributor development plans in territory coverage (existing and new markets).
