The Client Development Manager is a developing professional role. Applies specialty area knowledge in monitoring, assessing, analyzing and/or evaluating processes and data. Identifies policy gaps and formulates policies. Interprets data and makes recommendations. Researches and interprets factual information. Identifies inconsistencies in data or results, defines business issues and formulates recommendations on policies, procedures or practices. Integrates established disciplinary knowledge within own specialty area with basic understanding of related industry practices. Good understanding of how the team interacts with others in accomplishing the objectives of the area. Develops working knowledge of industry practices and standards. Limited but direct impact on the business through the quality of the tasks/services provided. Impact of the job holder is restricted to own team.

Responsibilities:
  • Resolves regulatory, documentation, on-boarding or other infrastructure issues with our key clients in order to increase/enhance revenue opportunity within this client segment
  • Actively manage, develop and drive the regulatory client on-boarding & documentation process to enable fast and efficient completion
  • Ensures coordination of Credit, Legal and Operational efforts related to new and existing business integral to the franchise
  • Assist in maintenance of, and the design of new processes/protocols to ensure efficient processing and escalation of client request or issues
  • Enhances the service offered to our Platinum & Priority Investor & Corporate clients across the region, ensuring the client receives a service that is seamless and structured to ensure efficiency
  • Coordinate the setup and completion of other bespoke agreements or arrangements to help drive the client franchise
  • Manage an efficient new approval and escalation process for non-standard documentation requests from clients
  • Address ad-hoc requests from Corporate clients
  • Create metrics for use in client tracking and improved transparency
  • Work with management and others on the team globally to ensure that the strategic goals are met
  • Help manage sensitive issues both internally and externally in a client friendly manner, managing expectations throughout
  • Overall drive change and efficiency to ensure the client experience is both nimble and painless
  • A client facing role that will provide exposure to the firms key clients both from a business, infrastructure and regulatory perspective
  • Work in close partnership with control functions such as Legal, Compliance, Market and Credit Risk, Audit, Finance in order to ensure appropriate governance and control infrastructure
  • Build a culture of responsible finance, good governance and supervision, expense discipline and ethics
  • Appropriately assess risk/reward of transactions when making business decisions; demonstrating proper consideration for the firm’s reputation.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
  • 6-10 years of experience
  • Good exposure or previous experience in a client development, marketing, relationship or similar role in the ‘Corporate’ space
  • Knowledge of trade flows, infrastructure and documentation
  • Credit, Risk or Legal experience preferred - Documentation experience advantageous
  • Good operational control, change management & client interaction experience would also be a benefit
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
  • Exceptional conflict management ability
  • Highly motivated, self-starter, quick study
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
Education:
  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
