Calderys has expanded globally at a rapid pace over the past several years. In Taiwan, Calderys has expanded its footprint with M&A Sunward Refractories in 2020. Calderys Taiwan is a leader of the refractory market and will continue growing business in different segments.
For this company, we are looking for a Sales Director, Taiwan to drive an ambitious and dynamic sales growth plan.

Work assignments
Regional Sales Director, Taiwan is responsible for managing Domestic & Export Sales of products & project and marketing strategy, managing sales team including sales administration (or call sales logistic), customer service (or call technical support) to achieve business goals, leading directly some key customers, conducting market intelligence (customers/competitors) exercise and feedback for R&D team with improvement opportunities. He/she will grow and develop profitable sales in Calderys Taiwan.
Sales Director is also part of the Taiwan management team; as people manager, he/she will be responsible for hiring, training, developing and coaching the sales team.
- Responsible to propose and developing an Annual Sales Budget and accountable to implement it, including its translation into Customer Service Management, Agency Contracts, Pricing , General Supply Conditions and Payment Terms, Contracting, Credit Risk Management and Dunning.
- Responsible to secure a coherent segment account approach as formalized in the segment plan, in agreement with and supporting product lines resp. BU strategies. This plan includes pricing, volume, project acquisition targets and or market share/development targets.
- Responsible to provide market intelligence (customers, value chain, trends, pricing, applications, competitors, etc).
- Accountable to secure and measure both efficiency and effectiveness of the sales force and to manage and coach Sales Reps, Admin, and customer service, in order to realize an agreed business budget.
- Accountable for closing and follow up of agency contracts, periodic monitoring activities and achievements.

Profile
Required education
Bachelor or master´s degree in metallurgy, materials science or other applicable engineering field from a major university, an MBA or equivalent is preferable.
Required experience and knowledge
- Minimum 10 years of sales responsibility in B2B sales environment/model;
- Strong background in sales background in manufacturing and project environment;
- Value selling, proven negotiation and persuasiveness skills required;
- Customer and market orientated, result orientated and professional;
- Significant experience with proven successful record in sales is a must
- Experience in Taiwan and multinational companies particularly from Europe or North America strongly preferred;
- Experience in Asia Pacific, including SEA is preferred.
- Steel Making or Refractory background is preferred;
Qualifying experience and knowledge
- Proven capacity to build network of relationships
- Experience in high-value industrial products for B2B (refractory experience is a plus, but not compulsory)
