• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or other engineering discipline, or equivalent practical experience
• 5 years of experience working in electronics/computer consumer hardware
• Experience with manufacturing/operations in original equipment manufacturer (OEM) management and supply chain management

Preferred qualifications:

• MBA, Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Research, Operations Engineering, or other relevant field
• Experience in the consumer technology market, facilitation experience with OEMs and CMs/ODMs and third-party suppliers
• Experience in working with global and cross-functional internal and external teams
• Ability to manage pressure and persistence to achieve goals
• Excellent analytical, quantitative reasoning, problem-solving, creativity, and strategic skills
• Effective written and verbal communication skills

As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It’s your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional teams within Google and with external partners to prepare for production ramp and product transitions. Manage post-ramp qualifications.
• Drive manufacturing operational readiness in the factory leveraging partner resources as well as ongoing efficiency and improvement across factories from ramp to end-of-line (EOL).
• Anticipate production and operational risk, communicate and mitigate work closely with OEMs to manage line bring-ups, qualification, material availability, and quality issues. Secure right level of capacity based on quarterly and weekly forecast and horizons.
• Lead regular meetings to communicate plans with cross-functional operations and demand planning. Adapt plans based on changing customer requirements.
• Work with OEM partners to ensure performance goals for Quality, Turn Around Time (TAT) and Throughput (I/O/S) are met or exceeded from ramp to EOL.
