The product manager will be responsible for managing a products and services portfolio within the Eurofins Pharma Discovery Services division. The Product Manager will oversee product lifecycle management, marketing, and lead / participate in key innovation projects. This role will work independently with minimal supervision to include working outwardly with clients, business development partners, and thought leaders as well as inside the organization cross-functionally with sales, operations, and management to successfully grow the business. Strong technical background with proven experience in product management and marketing is required. Technical knowledge and experience with proteins, enzymology, cell-based assays, ADME-tox, and in vitro and in vivo preclinical models used in Drug Discovery will be a distinct advantage.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and execute product management and marketing programs to achieve stated objectives regarding revenue, profitability, and market share
- Develop and execute product / service-line growth strategies for the assigned portfolio
- Responsible for revenue component of product / service-line P/L for assigned portfolio
- Manages product / service-line life cycles, including new product development and launch processes
- Demonstrates solid leadership skills and ability to gain consensus and influence process
- Develops and executes global marketing strategies and programs
- Responsible for distribution / pricing / promotion / position of products within target markets
- Develop “Value Propositions” of the assigned portfolio
- Develop Go-to-market launch and communication strategy, executes the related tactical plan and report related ROI metrics of assigned portfolio
- Performs quantitative and qualitative market analysis and monitors industry trends
- Continuously monitors the competitive landscape and provides feedback
- Ability to translate Customer insight into Tactical marketing plans and adjust as necessary
