Position Objective/Mission:

1) Lead sub-ordinates to support product development and commercialization as per direction and instruction from Brands’ R&D design:

• in accordance with design & specification requirements detailed by Brands’ R&D while maintaining the emphasis on product design integrity and performance; and
• with consideration for the smooth transition from Product prototype to mass production.

2) Lead team members to work collaborate with Brands’ R&D Teams and inter & intra departments. Maintain good business relationship with factories and suppliers.

3) Team management and development. E.g. performance management, development plan and various kind of training management

Key Responsibilities:

1) Monitor and facilitate the industrialization process & progress as according to the agreed schedule.

2) Lead team members working to ensure assigned products are developed and commercialized in accordance with design & specification requirements as specified by Brands while maintaining an emphasis on performance and completeness; ensure product incorporates latest technical developments when appropriate.

3) P.I. Manager usually has dual roles, role of a P.I. Engineer in handling individual product line of the responsible product range (usually the more complicated one).

4) Job allocation to team members. Monitor job progress & effectiveness of team members to ensure product industrialization progress according to agreed schedule and ready for on-time production without compromise to product quality.

5) Work closely with Brand R&D Team(s) and communicate regularly on project fulfillment status.

6) Lead team members to explore new alternatives (new technology, equipment, materials, process) for improving the product quality and effectiveness of production.

7) Coach and train team members to improve technical skill as well as project management skill.

8) Manage team and balance workload properly.
