Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, related disciplines, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of relevant work experience at a company developing supply chains in manufacturing and testing.
- Experience working with ODM’s, contract manufacturers, and component suppliers new for server and storage type products.
- Experience working with a hardware development and manufacturing processes team.
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 10 years relevant work experience at a company developing supply chains (manufacturing and test) for new server and/or accelerator products for IT industry.
- Experience working with ODMs, contract manufacturers, and suppliers to drive root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous process improvements.
- SQL, Python, or scripting experience.
- Experience successfully creating and executing a Design Validation Test Plan on a complex electronic assembly.
- Possess a solid understanding of CMOS devices, fabrication processes, ATE test process, DFT.

The Manufacturing Operations team is responsible for providing the manufacturing capability to deliver this state-of-the-art physical infrastructure. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you evaluate the product designs and create the processes, tools and procedures behind Google’s powerful search technology. When vendors build parts for our infrastructure, you’re right there alongside ensuring manufacturing processes are repeatable and controlled. You collaborate with Commodity Managers and Design Engineers to determine Google’s infrastructure needs and product specifications. Your work ensures the various pieces of Google’s infrastructure fit together perfectly and keep our systems humming along smoothly for a seamless user experience.

Responsibilities
- Lead reviews between Product Development and Operations Engineering to drive deliverables that are key to implementing manufacturing plans, such as design-for-excellence and diagnostics strategy.
- Lead technical engagement efforts with development team and partners to ensure designs are optimized for manufacturability and testability.
- Coordinate pre-production builds at CMs and ODMs. Own factory readiness, supporting manufacturing line bring-up, providing product/debug training, and monitoring yield issues. Lead technology assessment for new products and identify technologies which will push capabilities of the supply chain. Identify risks and develop mitigation plans.
- Work with Product Quality Engineering to establish product quality and reliability goals. Validate product qualification plans, support product qualification testing, and ensure product performance meets requirements.
- Coordinate NPI BOMs released into PDM system. Support second source part qualification, ECOs and MCOs released.
